Heeqou Property, Nunavut
Subsequent to staking of the property in February 2002, that summer's exploration program included the collection of 286 till samples and surficial geologic mapping. Exploration in the summer of 2003 involved the collection of 100 till samples in a program that was designed to infill and follow-up samples from 2002. Numerous samples have returned positive indicator anomalies across the property. A 3,317 line-kilometre RESOLVE helicopter-borne mag/EM survey was completed over the Heeqou Property during the second quarter of 2005. This survey, flown at 100-metre line-spacings, has defined several geophysical targets which will be followed-up with ground investigations. In addition to the airborne geophysics, detailed sampling has also been conducted over the property and several well-defined kimberlite indicator mineral (KIM) trains have been located. Reconnaissance sampling during 2004 led to the staking of 25 additional claims in the area of the original Heeqou property boundaries. During the spring of 2005, a 3,317 line-kilometre magnetic/electromagnetic survey was flown over the new claim block. During the 2005 summer exploration program on the Heeqou property, Diamondex field crews collected a total of 263 till samples. The majority of these samples were taken from the new claim block. Collection sites were designed to provide information down-ice from anomalies identified in the latest geophysical survey, to follow-up on elevated KIM sites located during previous sampling campaigns, or to provide a first pass assessment of an area's potential.
