Overview:

Since 1998 exploration has included 14,280 line-kilometers of detailed airborne geophysics, 400-line-kilometers of ground geophysics and 2,375 till samples.

Several high priority targets have been identified from continued exploration focused within a significant, and as yet, unresolved kimberlite indicator train. Located within the central portion of the property, the mineral train measures 7 kilometres long by 1.5 kilometres wide. Numerous kimberlite fragments have been discovered within this train where extensive sampling was conducted during 2002. During 2003, two diamond drill holes tested a structure at the head of this mineral train. No kimberlite was discovered.

Exploration efforts on this property have focused on the "Hot Spot" indicator mineral train. This unresolved 7 x 1.5 kilometre KIM train lies at the centre of the claim group. Despite the discovery of kimberlite float and anomalous counts of chrome-rich pyrope (up to 15% Cr2O3) at several localities within the train, the source has yet to be identified.

Diamondex crews conducted a 2005 summer exploration program on the Hilltop property that included till and geochemical sampling as well as geophysical target evaluations. Most of the 114 till samples collected came from within the Hot Spot train but several samples were also collected up-ice of this feature. The geochemical sampling campaign was undertaken in an effort to prospect for kimberlite within areas where previous till sampling efforts have not proved to be effective. In all, 1,647 separate samples were collected from two grids, which hosted 549 individual sample sites. Evaluations of 16 geophysical anomalies (ground truthing) were completed as well.
